香港鋼琴家 朱偉恒先生
朱偉恒現任香港小交響樂團鍵琴首席,香港中文大學、香港浸會大學、香港教育大學兼任講師,香港藝術發展局審批員
,以及多個本地及全國性鋼琴比賽評委。朱氏為本地最活躍的年輕鋼琴家之一,經常於本港及海外以獨奏、伴奏、室樂
及樂團樂師身份廣泛演出。早年屢獲殊榮,包括施坦威國際青少年鋼琴比賽、香港(亞洲)鋼琴公開比賽及香港校際音
樂節等的主要獎項。海外留學期間,他再勇奪北倫敦鋼琴比賽第一名及倫敦四大音樂學院校際鋼琴比賽第二名,被譽為
具有「驚人的演奏技巧和傑出的音樂造詣」及「非常細膩…極具魅力和威力」的鋼琴家。
朱氏畢業於英國皇家音樂學院RAM及RCM,分別獲頒鋼琴演奏碩士及一級榮譽學士學位,師承凱文.肯納(第十二屆
蕭邦國際鋼琴大賽最高獎得主)、伊恩.方丹(第六屆魯賓斯坦國際鋼琴大師賽首獎得主)及約翰.布萊克利教授,並
獲頒歐盟伊拉斯莫斯獎學金前往德國科隆音樂大學習藝於華斯理.洛巴諾夫(傳奇海恩利許.紐豪斯的弟子)門下。在
學其間,獲委任RCM學生會鍵琴系代表,並獲頒RAM最優異研究生畢業演奏會大獎的「最高讚揚」殊榮及葛麗泰.帕
金森學術獎等。2017年再獲母校頒發ARAM榮銜以表揚其音樂界的貢獻。
朱氏曾多次應邀到香港電台第四台接受訪問及錄音,並經常與本地及海外著名音樂家聯手演出,於香港藝術節、香港國
際室內樂音樂節、新視野藝術節、「大會堂樂萃」系列等亮相。此外,他多次以獨奏及駐團藝術家身份與本地多個管弦
樂團及中樂團作協奏表演,以客席首席身份參與匈牙利交響樂團、劍橋英皇學院合唱團和香港名家樂友等的演出,並多
次與香港創樂團作世界首演及錄音。
Currently Principal Keyboard of Hong Kong Sinfonietta, Alan Chu has emerged as one of the most versatile and sought-after
pianists in Hong Kong, performing extensively as soloist, collaborative artist and orchestral musician both locally and abroad. He
also serves as part-time/adjunct lecturer at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Baptist University, and The
Education University of Hong Kong; an examiner of Hong Kong Arts Development Council; and a regular juror at several
regional and national music competitions.
Alan Chu achieved early successes by winning major prizes in the Steinway & Sons International Youth Piano Competition, the
Hong Kong (Asia) Piano Competition and the annual Hong Kong Schools Music Festival. During his years abroad, he was further
named the first prize winner at the North London Piano Competition and the runner-up at the Jaques Samuel Intercollegiate Piano
Competition, being hailed as a pianist who possesses “formidable technique and real musicality” and “a very sensitive pianist…
great pianistic flair and power”.
Graduated from Royal Academy of Music and Royal College of Music in London, Alan Chu obtained his Master of Music and
Bachelor of Music with First Class Honours respectively. He was also awarded an Erasmus scholarship to study at Hochschule für
Musik und Tanz Köln in Germany. He was the recipient of several coveted awards, most notably the ‘Very Highly Commended’
honour for the prestigious RAM Lloyd Hartley Prize (for the best postgraduate final recital), Greta Parkinson Prize for his
academic achievement, and recently an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music (ARAM) for his professional contribution.
Alan Chu has given frequent recitals and performances with local and international artists, making appearances in Hong Kong
Arts Festival, Hong Kong International Chamber Music Festival, New Vision Arts Festival, RTHK Radio 4 programmes, “City
Hall Virtuosi” series, among others. As soloist and artist-in-residence, he has been invited/re-invited to perform with various
symphony orchestras, wind bands, and Chinese orchestras in Hong Kong. As a guest principal, he has also freelanced with
Hungarian Symphony Orchestra, King’s College Choir Cambridge and Hong Kong Virtuosi, as well as participating in many
world premieres and recordings with Hong Kong New Music Ensemble.
